July 13 - Debut of Philip Chevron Band at Blackrock Park, Dublin
November 11 - Chevron phones Holidai after reading appeal for like-minded spirits in Fachna O'Kelly's rock column in a Dublin Newspaper

January - Chevron meets separately, Mark Megaray and Jimmy Crashe. Plans for new band
March 14 - Portmarnock Co Dublin - Rapid, Holidai and Chevron have first rehearsal together. Band to be called Rockette
May 12 - Chevron replaces Billy Morley as lead guitarist of Rockette
June 22 - Crashe replaces drummer Joey Clarke
27 - Dave McAdam becomes bass player. Band change name to Hell Razors
August 22 - Megaray replaces McAdam as bass player. Regular rehearsals of full line-up now take place in Portmarnock
September 12 - Band change name to Rough Trade.Record garage demo for CBS man Jackie Hayden and Horslips drummer Eamon Carr,who have just launched independent record label, Midnite
19 - Band change name to The Radiators (from space)
October 30 - Jackie Hayden produces a session (Psychotic Reaction/ Television Screen/ Mistreater/ The Hucklebuck)at Trend Studios, Dublin
November 4 - Eamon Carr plays tape to Roger Armstrong and Ted Carroll at Chiswick Records in London
13 - The Radiators make their 'Live' debut as support to Eddie and The Hot Rods at UCD, Dublin
18 - Band accepts contract with Chiswick Records
December 13 - Baggot Inn, Dublin
